06 Pike VS 04 Sherman [Archive]

Hey all

i've come to a final decision, im pretty sure im gonna go with the 06 Rock Shox Pike 409's, but i have found some 04 Sherman's, both forks are brand new from shop. i do mostly DJ but i will be doing a bit of street and DH but mainly DJ and 4X maybe
Sherman = $600
Pikes = $700

What does everyone think?
please reply NOW hahaha, cos i will be ordering them tonight

ridden both forks, pikes are nicer for sure. if they have the U-turn system and all that travel/compression adjust its really easy.

yeh pikes are great man, but iv been told the pike 406 aint coming to
Australia, i went to order a pair from em local shop and was told the
406 isnt avalible, so i had to go for the 426 instead. im not sure where
the pike 406 is avalible anywhere in Australia but would like to know if
it is

he is gettin them from torpedo 7 and they are air uturns i believe. Go the pikes scottie best option.

Go the Pikes, they the bomb. Ease of adjustability, smooth, plush, healthy amount of travel, pretty strong...they got it all.

Pikes, I have STP0 they have taken so much shit, DH, street or jump so versitle, best street fork aswell as best alround fork!

Mate he said he gettin the pike 409's not 406. Yer go the pikes they are awesome forks.

I'm using Pike air 454's , and they are surprisingly plush for an air fork. The Maxle is a winner too. I wish they had U turn , they would be perfect then. I will probably get them modded to U turn in the future.

Can't comment on the Shermans , haven't tried them.
