im not sure if this is the right place so mods pls move if need but one thing that should be looked as is wen ppl say offers in the price range of something they're selling. now i know they are just trying to get the best price possible for their item, but they could at least say
Price: offers accepted between 1000-1500
instead of having people pm them ridiculously low offers. now i don't have trading access as of yet but when pm'ing people it gets frustrating when you offer them a price which you think is good but they disagree and reply with some abusive pm saying that it is ridiculously low.
Punk, this has been discussed amongst mods and admin before and there's really nothing we can do. We can't force people to put an acceptable "range" in their ad...(we have enough trouble getting folks to remebr the templates!)... and even if we could nothing would stop the tools from offering ten cents in the dollar regardless of what was stated in the ad. Sorry.
However, it is STRICTLY against Farkin rules to abuse another member either in the open forum or via PMs so please make us aware of ANY abuse and we will deal with it the way Indonesia deals with drug dealers.

i think it's a bit stupid for any seller to state offers between 1000 & 1500. why would anybody make an offer closer to 1500 when they know the seller will accept 1000?

So then if the item is popular, people have a bidding war to get it, and bump up the price that he actually wants...
i think it's a bit stupid for any seller to state offers between 1000 & 1500. why would anybody make an offer closer to 1500 when they know the seller will accept 1000?There are many factors, such as promptness of payment, pickup vs. postage, as well as other things such as swapping parts around if needed. A seller may accept $1k for a really quick sale via pickup, but might not take less than $1300 if they get screwed around a bit and have to post. Dugfast also has a good point about bidding, auction-style.
As much as I'd like to see sellers provide a ballpark figure for offers, we can't go restricting posts in the trading forums too much, there's only so much we can limit in sales, and after that it's up to the buyers to determine if they want to participate in a sale that they don't feel is being run to their satisfaction.

as a buyer, if someone had a price range of 1000-1500 on an item i would not be paying 1300 for that item.
they could say offers starting at 1000, but what is the point in putting an upper limit on offers?
