Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I have a very good reason for being on here at 3.23AM Sydney time but what about YOU?
It always seems to be the same die hards. I'm in a completely different timezone, 11 hours behind so the sun is still out, just.
Insomniacs? Work? Chronic alcoholism?
Just curious.:)

I have shift work and i FRIGGING HATE IT!!!!!!!!!111!!!!1!!
As of Friday i have five all night shifts in a row and that really gives the shits, aren't looking forward to it at all. I am in the process of finding a new job.
Maybe we can turn this into a shift work thread! There has to be a few of us around here in the same predicament. :(

Yeah why not,

I promised myself years ago when I managed a servo that I'd never do shift work again, but when you need the work.........
Oh well, it'll be like going on a holiday again, I wont see my wife for some time. That is going to suck. It's going to be bloody hard to find a pub around here that's open at 7am for after work bevvies. Thats going to suck even worse.
The things we do.

I will defend to the death, the right of a drunk man to argue irrationally.

Glenfiddich and Young's 'Old Nick' have much to do with my state.

Wasn't that posted at about 4 'o' clock in the afternoon GMT?

Looks like your settling into British life a bit too easily! :D

Yes, I must say I am. But there's F$#kall else to do in Southend.:D
I'm not used to having all the time in the world to just eat and DRINK!
There's nowhere to ride and naught to do, except go to the Pub.
Real ale agrees with me very much. hic.

It sounds like you still feel like a bit of an outsider!

Why don't you make the effort to assimilate into the local culture by buying a tracksuit, taking up smack or crack, engaging in regular acts of violence on innocent passers-by and stealing cars?

I have met quite alot of people here, most of them alot older than myself. I like drinking with them, they are what I aspire to when I become a cranky old bastard. As for the ones around my age, my rap sheet is clean, an AVO's or convictions for ABH, breaking and entering etc. ;)
Oh well, we may be moving soon.:)
