just to look cool, oh yeah and also that king is the reference in headset and provide an excellent quality product. besides 200 dollars is better than 350 rrp aus.

yea, and a derailers just a derailer, but when you buy an X-0 your buying the best, its the same with a king headset, you can get an average one or you can get the best.

A shifter is a lot different too a headset; Headsets help your front wheel to turn, as do any other headsets, however chris kings are 3 times more expensive as a normal headset and i can notice ANY difference....

Shifters on the other hand are the brains of your' deralleur, You can have an X-7 deralleur and run a X-0 Shifter and it would be perfect shifting, X-7 on X-7 shifter however would have a dramatic change in performance.....

Chris King vs. FSA pig DH headset= Same
X-7 vs. X-0= Noticable Performance change.

The reason i think Chris King have got good headsets is because i've heard they come with lifetime warrenty, so buying 1 chris king will last you for life, Buying 1 Fsa (For example) will wear out after a decent amount of time, and then after buying 3-4 FSA pig DH headsets you could've brought a king all those years ago.

umm, you seem to be contradicting yourself there, obviously with the cheaper alternative there is a noticable difference (the fsa) because it will not last nearly as long.

the fact is the arguement can be the same for both products, for both there is other products that do the same thing, but they are both the best of the best.

its not like that mate, i agree 100% on what RL has said, x.7 shifter compared to x.0 shifter = big performance difference, it is just sooo much crispier on x.0.
Headset? Yeh, they ALL spin, but do they all spin smoothly?
Really, its fuckn high quality stuff ur paying for there, but you can pay a quarter the amount and have a headset that spins JUST as smooth and sacrifice a bit of wank factor. Killing a headset is not easy, so dont tell me x is stronger than y blah blah bs bs bsbsbsbsbss BS!!! And if you ARE killing decent quality headsets (still at quarter the price of the king) you've got problems. :)
Put it this way, i can spend x amount on that, but i can also spend x amount on something that will give me a significant/noticable performance gain.

depends, one person will say a headsets a headset, and ive also mett people who will never use anything but a king now, some people say its cause its smoother, some people say cause it will last longer than your frame.

but all the same, some people will say a shifters a shifter, and some (you) will say that nothing compares to an X-0, ive ridden X-0 shifters and king headsets before. and in both cases, id rather keep some extra dough and go a fsa pro and a X-7/X-9, BUT there are people out there who will argue that nothing compares with either of them, and spend the extra dough for the X-0 and king...

like i said, the same arguement can be used either way, it realy all depends on the particular persons point of view.

I was expressing my point of view Timmy Bee....And my point of view is a headset is a headset, having a king headset really isn't going to save a lot of stress on your arms from struggling to turn your wheel....

Shifters however can be a dramatic part on a bike, i have come across several occasions with my old Deore shifter where it didnt shift when i wanted it too and i lost some valuble time pedalling....

As you have already stated Timmy, people have different opinions, and others are more picky, i personally could not see myself walking into a shop and spending 200 dollers on a headset....

ANYWAYS, end of that....poor guy was trying to show his pink bling off....

As i said before man, It's awsome, don't let any of the stuff i say go to your head....
