If this is the same as the howler then it wouldn't be the only one built in australia.
In the post editing screen, scroll down to "manage attachments" and attach wateva. Upload, and then "close this window" (dont just click the X).
edit now that pics are up:
Looks awesome, but put a roller on the cg. :)

the cowan and the howler are different. look at the linkage, and the lower pivot. different placing and the angles are also different.

I will be using this beats for mtnx, bmx, dj etc. i havent been able to fully ride it as i crashed at the tassie nationals and me arm is still in plaster and shit. there is no bottom roller as i had to modify the guide because of the pivot on the bb so the roller was too fuked to clear and shit, but getting a black mrp roller for it.

Ill find out what the retail value is and get back to you, we have a few pairs of them in stock at the moment and there will be a review of them out shortly in on of the aus mtb mags, so keep ya eyes open

I think if look you closely you'll find they're actually Kikapu models ;)
Nice bikes all the same though :)
I was obviously looking at wrong pic :( Your dead right, that is a damn lot of Cowans!

Nice ride. This is the one single Kona model I would ever consider buying. Bottom bracket pivots really do it for me for some reason. Remember Rotec bikes?
If this is the same as the howler then it wouldn't be the only one built in australia.
I know someone has already made fun of this effort, but... what a farkin stupid post. If it was the same farkin bike it wouldn't have a different farkin name, then, would it?

I REALLY want those deetrac's..
Any idea on a completely rough price estimate (seeing how deemax was $1k (i think) how much would these be?)

i was really put out when i heard in my thread in the other forum thats its the only one, but its good to see it built up :)

thats a pretty nice spec u got going there duffy
curious, why did u chose to got he cowan over the howler?
seems weird that Kona have speced a lightweight lockout airt shock on the DJ/abuse bike, but a coil shock ont he 4x specific howler

Nice ride! It looks like a great bike for 4X/DS, yet strong enough for some serious DJ sessions. BTW, I like the new color A LOT better than the old orange one...

The Dee traks are $750rrp so order away boys, we have plenty in stock. I chose the ds over the holwer because the ds is the jump bike and the howler is the race bike. conflicting intrest between John Cowan and zFabien Barrell ment that the rear end linkage and shock settup ment for two different bikes.
cheers,
jack
