Hi fellas
yet another possibly stupid question from me.
I ride pretty much every sort of category apart from DH.
VicMTB are selling 05 DJIs for $700 and i am able to get 06 PIKE SL for 650 not posted (i can pick up the DJIs) so it will cost about the same for either one. Which would be better suited to my STP frame. Keeping mind i do like a bit of travel and 100mm is not enough IMO.
Cheers
Matt

Go the DJ 1's!

Your a heavy rider. Get the stronger forks!

But you won't be disapointed in either..

Pike unless you are a hack or incredibly rough. Why would you sacrifice weight for unnecessary strength?

Pikes, like them so much better over the DJ series.

id go the pike as well - im pretty heavy (93kgs) and use the pike race - i had to get the extra firm spring which cost $55, so you might wanna factor that in if your heavy

Matt your a really heavy rider so i would go for the pikes so can get a a firmer spring and they have travel adjust.

go the pikes, beacuse it give you a little more room, i.e 140mm, so you can do street drops/stairs, and im just not a fan of the dirt jumper1

i take that ur gettin the pikes off torpedo 7 if u are they are pike 409 which have dual u turn air chambers (air sprung no springs) they are u turn from 110-140 i love the air spring system as u dont have to buy new springs when u want a softer or stiffer fork u just pump some air into em with a shock pump i used to own djs and they snapped in 6months and weighed a friggen tonne and felt gay and had hardley any ajustibility

id go pike man

Why don't you build some jumps, you always just go and ride our jumps and the stuff we have made. do some jumps for once instead of just sitting around on your STP.

Kids... this isn't the place to talk your adolescent dribble, keep that for MSN. Unless you're contributing to the topic in a helpful/productive way, please don't post.

85kg isn't that heavy, unless you're 5 foot nothing and/or 14. Weight isn't as big an issue as style is anyway, a 100kg smooth rider will probably be less likely to kill something than a 60kg hack.
