P.s He's talking about this axle --> http://www.bikeparts.com/pimage/MZ2501_6033.jpg
It's a marz 20mm off my 03 DJ II's.
They come with the axle. They will fit any standard 20mm hub.

just curious as to why you would want to go with a bolt up axel when the provided maxel is fuggen awsome...
a) no they don't. That's the whole idea of the Maxle thing, no pinchbolts. You can't use a QR hub if that's what you're asking.
b) why would you want to?

Yeah big negatory on standard bolt up 20mm with pinch bolts.
Maxle is designed to be an evolution of this, still 20mm but easier to get undone, do back up etc.
Then only thing i think close to a standard setup would be using a boxxer maxle, which doesnt have the Q/R lever it is like a 5/6mm allen key screw in maxle. I am not sure if it will work in the pike, never tryed or thought about it, might ring them up this week and see if it is doable. Coz that would be kinda cool.

Why would you want to?
You are aware that they did extensive testing over a period of a year with all their pro's riding the Maxle, in all of the important disciplines? (DH, FR, DJ, 4X, etc...)
It's a bomber system. If it made it through all those pros over a year, why would you still not trust it?
Do you think you're going to ride harder than them? (Or worse, possibly?)

no i just prefer the look of the bolt up axle rather than QR but its not a NEED its just a simple thing that id like but if it isnt possible then i am still happy with the QR.
cheers

Pro testing is absolutely no match for letting uneducated ignoramuses try to "work on" your stuff ;)
(no that was not aimed at anyone in this thread)
