You guessed it im wondering what cranks I should buy for my dh bike as the time has come to move on my old ones, its the last uprgade i need to do for my bike to be "How I wanted it to be/planned it to be since i started customing it...." The factors that must be taken into concideration are : must be 4 bolt to suit device and must be able to fit into a grip/crank holder style bike rack. Price isnt as much of a factor but if i can save some dosh :D.... PS I mainly use the bike for dh runs/race and the ODD dj
PS here is my ride that they will be going onto :http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a13/kidafa/PA140004.jpg

you cant fault diablos at all, if i were you that would be the #1 choice. if not them, saint are pretty damn solid too.
but i put a vote down on diablos, cant kill 'em...

Saints are great, but they probably arn't going to fit in most shuttles. You can always carry around the grip adapter with you to races. Personally I have a few issues with diablous cranks, as nice as they are- setup is tricky for the home mechanic (I'm yet to see someone do it right themselves) and the weight might be an issue. The new double ring version of the hone is nice. $299 rrp they feature a cromo insert like the saint and a cromo axle. Nice cranks. Don't get the tripple version though- the pedal threads flo out easy and the alloy axel may also twist.
The new truvativ cranks are sweet too, the howitzer bb is pretty smart and if a bearing dies its user serviceable- meaning you can just buy a new bearing and off you go, no need for a new bb. Price is around the same as saints/diablous with the holzfella arms and they should be a bunch lighter. At the end of the day though, I'd personally go the hone crankset and spend the rest on a nice new guide, you whole bike will run smoother for it.
saint or diabolous.
