Got a new bike, but no transport to get out of the city. If anyone is heading out to do some DH this weekend i would be keen to tag along.

I've tried looking on other websites, melbourneriders.com.au etc. but everyone seems to be of school age. Are there any older DHers about, i'm only 28 but feel like a grandad.

Chaps,

gotta do this Christams Shopping this weekend but as soon as that's done i'm keen to go riding. Perhaps on Sunday? If anyone is heading out, get in touch: joe.mcewan@boeing.com and we can hook up. Went to Barjarg last w/e so got the bug.

"mature DH'ers" is an oxymoron even for the masters class riders. I can say that being 29 (years not inches).

I was thinking of mature in a more physical sense. It's pretty much taken for granted that throwing yourself down a steep hill on a pushbike is not the most grown up thing to do. Unfortunately, i don't bounce quite as well as i did when i was a kid. So perhaps being a mature downhiller means throwing yourself down the hill a bit more carefully, keeping in mind the responsibilities that you now have. Dosn't quite work however when the adreniline is flowing and there's a big gap to clear! So, perhaps you're right...
