The DW100 thread got me thinking about how much I may be spending on races this year.

Does anyone remember what the cost of solo entry was for the 8 hour series and the 12 hour at WSMTB? (for the 2005 events)

Am planning (wanting to do) on doing this year:

1 club race a month, ($10 a race)
5 working week series races, ($??? for Solo)
WSTMB 12 hour, ($??? for solo)
12 hours of darkness (if I can find a partner for it)
Sydney 24hour (if I can find a partner for it)

Thanks

Buy a race liscence if you dont already have one .
from memory
WWS $50
12 hr $65
Sydney 24hr $90

I could be slightly out
but check their sites for fees etc.

Don't forget ~$16 per race / 6 pack of beer ;). You might be able to get away with out this for now untill you get your SS built up.

Buy a race liscence if you dont already have one .Yeah, I'm pretty sure the MTBA licence paid for itself this year just by avoiding the day licences from the 5 WWS races, let alone all the other races I did.

[The Lab-Gear]12 hours of darkness (if I can find a partner for it)
Thanks

$51.50! That's it :D (unless you need a day lic.).

And there will be solo riders this year :p

I'm feeling like a real Elitist Hard Core Wanker with the amount I've "saved" in day licenses. It also gets you out more, because $10 for a club round is a lot easier to drop than $25 for round + license.

Lets see. 4 or 5 dirt crits, Sydney 24, 12 hour, 5 x WWS, Nearly a Mont, 4 hour. And a couple more dirt crits before it expires. Woohoo!

Next you'll be turning up to the dirt crits with a sensible bike.

Any news on the Working Week Series for 2006 ?
I'm trying to organise some fun early on. If I have some reason to train, perhaps I will. Perhaps.

Seems to be a familiar story ebuk.

Tick tock, tick tock...

Sort of the same topic.

If you were only going to do 3 enduro events as a team in NSW (or Canberra)which ones would be the best for a 1st timer from a fun viewpoint.

Was thinking the Mont would be a definite but not sure about the others.

Sydney 24hr, 12hr and the Lithgow 8hr (not that I'm biased)

WWS info out real soon. Season starts very soon

The Mont is certainly the biggest, but probably not the most fun. The 20km lap can be a bit long for some people.

If I was only going to do 3 I'd probably pick

Sydney 24 hr (to tick that 24hr race off, not a big deal to get to from Sydney, vert friendly event)
Killingworth 8hr
Penrose 8hr

A Sparrow Hill 8 hour would also rate highly
