Well the idea of a race is to get from A to B via a specified route as fast as you can... not as smoothly as ya can ;)

Socket it's just my opinion. He's fast and a sick rider but i was just saying he was smashing stuff up and didn't look all that smooth. It's not like i'm saying he's a shit rider or somthing. Just my $0.02

you dont win races by being smooth, you need speeed (if it was the other way round i may have a 1/1000 chance of winning, atm i have 0 chance)

i wouldn't be too quick to bag him, he came second in the Grouse world cup this year ahead of the athertons, peaty etc. so he can't be too sloppy.

Let me tell you a story about the Grouse world cup.

It rained really hard as the top 15 were about to come down .. Which resulted in a really *****ed up course for the top 15 .. and a decent track for the Slower Qualifiers. Did you not think it was weird that there was no Kovarik, Minnarr, Peat, Hill, Gracia, Rennie in that top 10 ? Tis because they rode a really slippery track.

Im not taking anything away from Ivan .. hes fully sick mate .. but that result cannot really prove hes top class.

That Vid from Dirt Magazine should be really good.

as far as smooth/fast, everyone have a quick think about nico. the best rider in the world for how long?
was amazing watching him ride, his head never moved. it was always the same distance from the ground. bizzarro guy to watch race cause he looked slow till you looked at his times.
wonder when we'll see anouther like him come round?

as for pinner, guy looks like he can move his ass if he wants to.

It's the Spanish Pinner. Craziest rider EVER!! He can pin rock gardens so fast. He is very very quick. The only thing that holds him back is because he is so ragged he has trouble staying on the bike.

At the world champs i swear he hit the first 2 straights faster than anyone. Then he overcooked the second corner and flipped through the bunting.
