dainese body armour straps

i recently purchase some dainese body armour and with it came two straps that clicked into place on the back piece. Anybody know what they are for???
it was the new 06 range

someone correct me if im wrong but arent the clips there to help secure the spine plate?

Either way, just do everything up snug... as long as it fits you'll be dandy!
