Body Armor: Mace Swat Jackets

Hey i'm looking for some body armor... i was wondering what people think of the mace swat jacket...

I have 1... only had 1 decent ride with it but it seems fairly comfortable and light when i've put it on.....fairly cheap compared to others i looked at....

ive got one. ive found that if your doing dowhill and you need body armor that you need elbow guards which the swat jacket doesent have. so then you have to put two thing on. my advice, go and get yourself some 661 body armour. or if you have the money, danise (spelling??).

i have got one and its awsome, they are light, comfortable and cheap. I found that some brands with the elbow gaurds were uncomfortable around the arms so i got seperate elbow guards, way better.;)

i love them mate, got one myself. confortable, cheap and pretty well ventilated. my advice is to get one (obviousley), but there so much better then the chest and arm suits such as the 661, ive found with the 661 you can never get a really good fit and the elbow guards always slip around the sides. So with my swat jacket i can use my own elbow/forearm guards that fit better and can be adjusted easier.

wheres and1 when i need him! he has only good things to say about the hoots vorpal jacket. its a very nice padded unit and i have heard of the mace one being a bad fit for most people. but thats about the extent of my body armour knowledge :).

Check the lastest Clict mag. 6 'Clict Overviews' of body-armour tested. The Mace Swat included (7.5/10). The winner was the Dianese Safety Jacket-Race cut.

Troy Lee also make one called the descender. Its very comfortable and airy which is a good advantage.
