View Full Version : Nationals Buller When is it?

Just on the buller website and the entry form is up for the National MTB Series Final but the date is 12-13 March, 2006. I'm confused the National Series website and Farkin race calendar still has it on Feb 17-19. Has it changed?

I'd go by the entry form as that would be what's required to enter. If the entry form is wrong I'd be very surprised.

I wouldn't.
there will be a phone number or e-mail address or website of the organising body on the form, use some initiative and give them a call or send them an e-mail.

I can't even find the entry form :o but even the XC event is still listed as February and the events calendar on the Buller Website (useless!!!) also has it listed as February.
Can anyone provide a link to the entry forms please???
I was using the link from the MTBA 05-06 Nationals site (XC).... which just goes to the Buller Home Page.

Wrong dates for races?
How can that be?
Why should Buller be any different to Thredbo.
Raw NRG had the wrong date posted for this years first state round for ages.
Would be nice to have the date confirmed by someone "in the know".

Just went to the Buller website and their summer event calendar has Feb 17-19.
MTBA webite for the race, - race date same as above, unable to open entry form. Maybe down while dates are being corrected.
Also suspect they have used last years entry form and forgot to change the dates.

The DH national series final is defenitly Feb 17-19th i think you will find the march date is a road race up the hill from mansfield! not sure about you guys but thats not my cup of tea.

I was under the impression that it was on the 18th/19th Feb. Its the weekend before the Rocky Mountain DH Challenge @ Barjarg (very close to Buller). Everyone should plan their time off work so they can race both races! Its going to be well worth sticking around for..

No it's not, I just checked the form and it says, and I quote from the form Mt. Buller | Victoria | 12 – 13 March 2005
So it must be the form for LAST year..... no idea how you got to that form either!!!!
Pretty common error for old forms to be on websites... happens in LOTS of sports.

Sorry i meant a road bike race!! not the car race. and trust me the nationals are on the 17th-19th of Feb. The buller website is wrong!
Yeh i was going to say they were the week before Barjarg, hopefully Barjarg gets all the riders to stick around from Buller because it is going to be bloody awesome, i would think the prize for elite would help them come.

Barjarg is going to be worth sticking around for... Its all shaping up quite well. There are a heap of great sponsors getting involved too. Its great to see DHing getting the support that it deserves from these companys. This is an event worth making the trip too. The media will be out in force at the event. We are talking TV crews, newspapers, magazines, radio stations ect..
The track has had new sections added to make it even better too.. With new berms in the top section and a whole new bottom section added since the last ride day.
Oh, and don't forget that it's got the biggest prize pool that i've ever seen!!! Down to top five in every class.
So, you had better make sure that you have the time off work so you can make it to this one!
