Item:
'03 Cannondale Gemini 1000
Location:
Melbourne
will ship anywhere at buyers expense but would prefer local sale.
Item Condition:
Excellent, just a couple of minor cable marks on the frame and fork.
Reason for selling:
Gone to a pure DH bike instead of FR.
Price and price conditions:
$2500, but reasonable offers considered.
Extra Info:
I built this bike from a frame and fork a little over a year ago. I have done 7 or 8 days of riding at Buller on it but not much else apart from the odd commute whenever I felt like riding something different.
I have converted the fork to run TPC damping rather than SPV as I found it was lacking in small bump sensitivity. The original SPV parts will come with the bike if you want to change it back, very easy to do.
It's a great bike, very strong, very light for a 6" + 7" travel bike, looks great and will even do pretty well as a heavier XC/Trail bike.
The seals/oil are less than 4 rides old, but I will do an oil change before it goes anyway, just to be pedantic.
Spec:
Frame: Cannondal Gemini Medium
Shock: Fox Vanilla RC (450 lb spring)
Fork: Manitou Sherman Breakout (converted to use TPC, comes with parts to change back to SPV if required)
Rims: Atomlabs DHR
Hubs: Dice Roulette F+R
Wheelset built by Spoke(N)
Crankset: XT Hollowtech II 2 x 9 + Bashguard setup
Brakes: Hayes HFX 9 8" front and rear
