I have been looking for a 24 inch bike for a long time.. this isnt quite what i was after  ..
but hey it was for free and damn its a quick and smooth bike to get around my local suburb!
all it needed was a new tube, some grease in the hubs, and a seat everything else is rad...

i have no idea what it is? but god damn it is bloody light.
it has araya 24 x 1.75 inch rims in black with weird looking eyelets?
sunrise 5345 hubs in a nice looking gun metal greyish colour!
Mx brakes with really weird adjusters !!
shimano DX platform pedals
2 piece sprocket.

below are some pics.. i thought it was a piece of junk, but after having a closer look it at hubs and rims and pedals etc.. i think it might of once been a decent bike? (note: i have no idea if the hubs and shit are actaully any good they just look decent)

Hmm, rear chainstay-BB yoke looks a lot like the one on a Mongoose 24" I had about 12 years ago (which was about 1988-89 vintage) , but I must say the 'goose was a lot longer/lower/faster looking that that.
If the bike is as old as the DXs its gotta be ~17 years old or so.

Platform DX pedals were what I had on my Hutch and Crisp bmx's back in the mid to late 80s. Those MX brakes are precisely what I had, except for the adjuster thingy. I was going to say Redline, it is similar to their geometry from memory back then, but Redline never had drilled dropouts, so can't be Redline.

It must be 1985-1988 or so, so I pretty much agree with Floody on age.
