Hi folks, in a bit of a mix up with the bike shop and they have decided to do whats right and i have a choice of either Drop off comp 05 or 06 Dirt Jam pro's.
I ride Dirt Jumps, trails and street.

What would be best?
Cheers
Matt

I'd be asking for 120 or 130mm travel if either came as 130 or 120.

i wasn't too impressed with the Dirt Jam comps that i had which bent easily and topped out like a bitch

ide say the drop off's because theyre also alright for a bit of freeride and trails. I think their pretty much the same fork though. you get what you pay for.

Dirtjam pro will bend just as easily, maybe not top out as harshly...
You're scraping the bottom of the marzocchi barrel, but I'd go the drop-offs in this case, they're the best of the worst.

Hey Matt, As many problems as you have had with your Dirt Jam comps mine have been fine and you see the shit i put mine through. if you speek to the bike shop and ask them if they can give you the 2006 Dirt Jam Pros still in the rapping you would be able to sell the for alot more than the Drop offs.
But dude the choice in the long run is yours to make.

My friend's got a pair of 05 drop off's at 130mm and he really doesnt like the travel for dirtjumping they feel much bigger than the dirt jam's however i've got a pair of dirt jam pro's that top out heaps and it really annoyes me i'm looking to upgrade to maybe some dj 1's but if you can get the dirt jam's to not top out they fell much nice than the drop offs

I'd get the Drop off comps, order a pair of z1 Freeride 3 Springs for them,
and run them without air preload and a touch higher oil height, maybe 10wt oil if needed slower rebound. should be awesome forks then :)
