Looking at these three bikes.

I had made my mind up to get the Giant Yukon $750, until I saw the Specialized Hardrock. The Hardrock has a really nice finish (paint job and frame).

I am 6'3" and weigh 90-95.

The 23" yukon seemed to fit fine, but the Hardrock only goes up to 21"

Not sure about the Rockhopper.

Just wondering you opinion between the all 3.

I will be doing fairly light offroad, i spose at most only like 2ft jumps, and general single track / fire trails.

Thanks!

don't take my word for it, but my mate has the (i think) 05 Yukon, and it's ok, but not great. three mates have the hardrocks and love em

2 foot jumps might be a little hardcore for any/all sub 1k XC bikes.
For Fire trail and single track use the Yukon is a pretty good starting point though.
First off, get the right size.
A model up rear mech and front hub won't mean squat when you realise you are cramped up and need a 150mm stem and 400mm post to even get close to the correct position.
Everything else can be changed / upgraded if needed down the track.
Also, Giant did a 10 pack deal on the Blue colour version of this to many of the bigger shops.
You should be able to comfortably get $100 off the asking price by umm........asking.
