I sold the marzocchi DJs I had on my P-bike, and decided to chuck on some '04 U-turn Judy SL's I had kicking around.
No more stupid long axle-crown measurements, and I can wind them down to about 70mm (from 115mm), which makes it nice, short low and steep. Plus I've dropped over 1kg in one hit, compared to the DJs - which brings it down to 14.6 - not so bad for a bike with chromoly cranks, gears etc.

That IS hot floody, those rims go with the black frame uber well. What year model is this one?

I believe its an '03 P2 (though the only difference from '03-05 and P1-P3 is the '05s , maybe 04, have the offset rear triangle), in the long frame size.
I had it powdercoated satin black myself (and the wanky "floody" gothic script decals, lol).

lol, well there you go, 03 P1. Which I gather is the same as a P2 and P3 bar the finish anyway.
Thought it best not to mention the pink phase... :p

Yep, they're indeed all the same bar the paint (or lack thereof — mmmm, polished '03 P.3...).

And I'm proud of my pink phase!

edit: Hey, by the way, nice work on the bike. I miss that frame.

Hey! Now you're talking! I was thinking of a colour change, I wonder if it would be polishable after all the bead blasting etc for the powdercoat jobs...

That looks like it'd handle stupidly sharply, it's fun flicking around a nimble bike, isn't it?
How is it for toe/wheel overlap? And do you have intentions of running a "proper" short fork on it soon? :p It should be great to ride regardless...

Toe/wheel overlap is pretty bad now, actually. With the DJs at 110mm, it was fine, however even at 115 its rub city when I where large skate shoes - I mainly put it down to the lack of fork offset compared to the heavily offset DJs.

Definitely plan to have a better fork on very soon, but I have to say the old Judy is excellent in functional terms - just far from bling.
