It used to be deep fried Mars bars, but now a celebrity chef has come up with a dish that's even worse for your health - Snickers pie.
A UK food watchdog says Antony Worrall Thompson's recipe for Snickers pie is one of the unhealthiest ever published, reports the UK's Daily Telegraph.
The Food Commission calculates that one slice of the pie made of the peanut cocolate bars contains more than 1,250 calories.
Five Snickers bars go into the pie, with mascarpone, eggs, sugar, soft cheese and puff pastry.
The commission found that one portion has the equivalent of 22 teaspoons of fat and 11 teaspoons of sugar.
The recipe, which appears on the BBC website, is featured in Food magazine, published by the Food Commission.
"We love a decent dessert as much as anyone, but surely this has to be one of the most unhealthy recipes ever published," the article alongside the recipe states.
Mr Worrall Thompson reportedly said the dish was intended to be a special treat for a children's party.
"On Saturday mornings we attract children to the program and from time to time you have to make them feel as though they are being looked after as well as the health police," he said.
"Kids have to be allowed to be kids from time to time. I think prohibition is when you start getting kids eating behind your back. It is better to give them a treat from time to time."

Well today we went out and bought the ingredients for the pie. It only took us about 30 minutes to get the pie ready then about an hour and a half in the fridge for it to set nicely. Ive had one piece of the pie and I can say it's one of the most intense hektic things ive ever eaten. Here are the pictures of the pie's evolution.

Cheese, you are my Hero! Is it a more intense clocolaty taste then say... 85% coco chocolate or now quite that bad? I LOVE PIES! :D

Hehe, well ive never tasted 85% coco choco before but I can say that the main taste is a sweeter than usual snickery taste. I was a bit sus on the sauce at first but it turned out tasting very good, who ever wrote this recipe knew what they were doing. :D

Well i searched on google and there were a lot of different recipe's out there usign different ingredients and different methods. Here is how we did it.
0. Get all of the ingredients listed by RCOH;
(9-inch) baked pie shell
5 (2.07 ounce) Snickers candy bars (we got a 20 pack of funsize)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (close enough is good enough)
12 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons whipping cream (haha 3 tablespoons)
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips (to hell with 'semi sweet')
1. Bake the pie base in the oven (unless its a prebaked pie base of course) we put ours in the over at 180 before we started prepping the rest of the ingredients so it was ready by the time we were.
2. Cut up the snickers and chocolate pieces (if they are big)
3. Get a decent sized mixing bowl and fill it with the sugar, eggs, sour cream and peanut butter. Mix that up.
4. Get another mixing bowl and put the cream cheese in there, attack it with a spoon (whisking?) till its softer, once its softer shove it in the other mixing bowl and mix it all in.
5. Now take the pie out of the oven and put all of the snickers pieces in there, now pour the sauce ontop of that. Our pie overflowed with sauce a bit mabey because we had too many snickers (we bought a 20 funsize pack).
6. The pie is nearing completion, now you can melt the chocolate pieces and pour them on but I felt that it wouldnt work very well (plus im lazy and wanted to eat the damn pie) so I just put the chocolate pieces ontop of the sauce.
7. I bought thickened cream so it had to be whipped manualy with an electric mixer thingy, it might have been easier to get one of those cans of cream and just spray it on. Either way, once you have the whipped cream smother the top of the pie with it!
8. Now the final step, leave the pie in the fridge for a while so it can set its self. About an hour and a half worked well, or you could just shove it in the freezer for half an hour and see how cold it goes (dont forget about it though like we did with those beers that time!)
9. There you have it, enjoy a wicked sick pie.

In the always profound words of Homer Simpson: "Put pie here." As he point to his mouth, while Marge shovels a whole pie in his mouth. Homer's reposnse to Marge's aking if he wants ice cream: "Me no pig."
