Tailbone, total inability to sit down and searing pain from almost any movement, oh and putting on clothes is a bitch too. Not that I've ever broken a bone, I'm just saying what I hear.

Ankle... for sure. Broke it in 5 places. I had 3 operations on it. I broke it on a trampoline with no safety pads, ankle got caught in the springs and kinda wrapped around the steel bar. My wrist hurt but not as much. The pain from my ankle just made me feel sick. I was in a cast for ages.. Not cool when your a 7 yr old and its summer!

my mate broke his tail bone into 5 seperate pieces... he forward flipped off a stage at a party and landed in a seated position, feet straight forward onto a hardboard wooden floor, kept on drinking and doing stupid shit until the alcohol wore off, then went to sleep on a bench. Payed the price for weeks after. Defianntly the biggest pain from what he told me, i've never broken anything except my finger that i cut off, that hurt bad though.

I snapped both the bones in my right arm/wrist and fractured my tailbone at the same time. Wrist definatly hurt ALOT more!!!

But then again, the tailbone had more of an impact on my daily life.

I think it all depends on the severity of the break though. Any broken bone hurts, and usually hurts alot.

I fractured my neck a couple of years ago which fukn hurt. But yer i no wat u mean about the nose ive broken mine twice and it doesnt hurt just bleeds alot. I also know a friend who broke his femur (aparently the strongest bone in ur body) he screamed for a fair while, im sure that must have hurt.

Broken Bones:
Big Toe
Left Elbow
Right Elbow X 2
Left Distil Radius
Scaphoid

Of all the bones I have broken, or fractured, I reckon the wrist (left Distil Radius & Scaphoid) was most painful, and still haunts me from time to time due to the muscle damage recieved during the accident.

i have cracked my coccyx playing rugby and it hurts like theres no tomorrow. i have broken my scaphoid in my wrist and a bone next to it that didnt hurt cause it was broken for 6 weeks before i got a cast.

It all depends on the severity of the break, in fact its what it all comes down to.

I've broken my left arm and had 2 operations on it, both bones snapped and shifted forward... when the doctors cut me open and moved them back into place they just moved themselves back again.

It was quite shit, my avatar shows the break. It hurt for WEEKS afterwards, in fact it still hurts every now and then these days, and this was over 3 years ago...

I've also fractured my scaphoid, i didnt even notice the pain because i hit my head so hard so that one wasnt to bad.

My nose to, that was painfull for about 15 minutes.. was alrite then after the bleeding and everything stopped.

And one of my fingers, doesnt have the same movement anymore.. that hurt alot.

well when i completely destroyed my right shoulder i was in pain from the start of the 8 week school break to the end and it still hurts on rainy days ( dunno wtf is going on there). when i tried to ride off the park bench i broke my collarbone, dislocated my shoulder and pushed back the shoulder joint thingo.
when i broke my left arm it didnt hurt at all and when i broke my right arm i was climbing stepp hills and shit and i couldnt feel a thing until i tried to get to bed.
so in my case the shoulder was the most painful.

One would imagine that the severity of the break could influence what people say...Like, one person may have broken their wrist and said it doesnt hurt, and someone else may say its the worst pain they've ever felt.

But seriously, Ankle hurts a shitload, broke mine when I flat landed a jump and my foot buckled on impact, ouchies!

Also, ribs hurt a lot, I broke one and it hurts to breathe!

Anyone with an affliction like this would die instantly. The nose, nipples and genitals of both sexes are the only erectile tissue the human body has. I believe the tissue is called spongetosum (don't quote me on that one...).

Your blood pressure differs throughout the day, the allocation of blood to differing body parts changes regularly as well. Blood cells constantly die and re-replicate as we breathe. The idea that a hard on could either kill some one or take blood from their brain is pretty much codswallop.

Edit: I think I just got it........

I just meant it like some people who crack one off just lose control and it just seems to fit that they don't have enough blood to power both

God gave guys two heads, but only enough blood supply to operate one at a time ;)

What's the most painful bone to break??? I don't know.

I've broken my humerus, collarbone, hand, little toe and stress crack of shin bone (can't remember what it's called). Nothing hurt too much, all were a major inconvenience.... remember smashing my hand up while it was in plaster a fair bit as I was trying to rebuild a car at the time and I couldn't get my plaster covered hand in far enough to do up the bolts on the brake booster....

The bone I FEAR breaking the most is the Femur.... That thought keeps me a wimp.

Childbirth is painful.... but a severe kidney infection is worse!!!

yes, I am female with children if anyone didn't know....

Man this is awkward.

I was actually refuring to the title, witch??? ain't it which?

The ferma is the mosty painful, it can kill you. Because when you break it, the mussle's there close up and push the bone's back together, which is fucking painful.

the femur would be the most painful by far. breaking that bad boy will be one of the loudest sounds you will ever here. reminds me of a gun going off. ithe pain can also put you into shock and you can die from it. also as wattsy said the muscles contracted in the pain and basically you just want to die. i know its not a bone but snap your achilies(sp?) tendon and experience some pain. this also sounds like a gun going off and the rehab is so cronic it will never be the same again. wrists dont hurt they just go numb. leg hurts a fair bit. color bone doesn't. coccyx is a real big pain in the arse doing anything iwht a broken one of those is death

Broke both my tibula and fibula which was pretty darn painful. The deal with the femur is though that when the bone breaks there is so many nerves and particular blood cells (forget which ones) that can be burst and can result in internal bleeding and somehow kill you, well thats what my P.E. teacher in year 9 said anyway.

I thought that females...inverter penis's, smelt like fish...and they were also known as clams...Man you are confusing...or just wierd..

Well I know from experience that the most painful bone to break is anything in your dominant arm. :D Bit of crab claw action never hurt anyone...

Just to ask a noobish question, where abouts is the femur and what makes it so so painful to break? Is it the one in your thigh?

If you break the femur, it can sever the Femoral Artery, in which case you will probably bleed to death unless you are very close to help.... The femur also contains red marrow, which produces blood cells.

I have seen a femur break by a muscle cramp!!!! Do not underestimate the power of the Quadriceps or the Hamstrings...

broken my arms 6 times, doesn't really hurt anymore:p, but it really hurt when i broken both at the same time, kinda leaves you a bit useless for 8 weeks, but i did my tail bone, and sitting on a donut for a few weeks really suxs, my foot took me 3 weeks to get checked, but the easyest and painless breaks have to be fingers

from a muscle cramp? either the person had some massive quads and a weak arse femur or... thats about all i can think off. the femur is the most rigid and strongest bone in the body so i cnat really imagine it breaking over a cramp. also the hamstrings wouldnt be in the right position to break a femur other things would break first. and1 its a tibia you got the fibula part right and yes it does hurt a bit.

It was in an educational video.... Can't remember whether it was Sport Science or First Aid now.... It was during a sporting activity.

Yes, it is very rare.... and it was a case of extremely strong quads going into spasm/cramp.

I've broken my right forearm 5 times and my left forearm once, and funnily, only one of those was on a bike, arms hurt a fair bit, but i wouldn't think they would hurt as much as a broken femur or a broken back.

(Mine were from falling off the monkey bars, falling off the top of a 4 metre high slide, flying fox, skateboard, jumping my bike, and doing an obstacle course. My old man broke his back when he was younger playing volleyball, and then on an obstacle course as well, only gets a bit of pain these days, luckily he isn't wheelchair bound.)

The worst cramp to get is in your hamstring. I get them sometimes when im at the computer and tense my upper thigh muscles and then....GAAAH.
Hurts soooo much if its a proper one, not just a little one

Most of the time after i do a few laps of the local pool, i get major cramps right in the arc of my foot, between the heel and ball of the foot, cains so bad, feels like someone is trying to pull your toes around to touch your heel.

*All those broken bones i've had were before i was 13. ^^^^

Yep, instant cramp if I try and stand on my tippy toes in a swimming pool... no idea why, but it bloody hurts

I did those breaks I had at 11, 21, 22, 23 and 39. The shin/39 is unofficial, but I know what I did.. just didn't get it checked, waste of $$$.

heh pool induced cramps are the worst. after going back to training after a good few months off (end of last year) i hopped up onto the pool deck and got simultaneous cramps in my quad and hamstring - that was intense, i just had to sit out the pain of both as i couldnt stretch one out without making the other worse. that actually resulted in a few weeks of physio on the hamstring.

ive broken my ankle and greenstick factured my leg... bone?... :p at the same time and that was pretty aweful. that was when i was twelve and weighed about 40kg - school rugby league - absolute goliath of a kid (90kg in grade 7) stepped on the outside of my ankle. crunch.

not as bad but i managed to displace my 4th and 5th metacarpals (hand...bones...) in a fight. i could have written six on my hand and gone to the cricket - maaaaassive swelling.

Broken shoulder (humerus)

That doesn't sound that funny! :o

I broke my ankle at a Cradle of Filth concert, it hurt quite a bit but I stayed to the end.

I broke my pinky finger trying to catch a basketball, that hurt a lot, but my finger looked like a lightning bolt.

Broke my left collar bone clean in two and my right hand trail riding on a Moto bike. Went OTB's at around 70km/h and got speared into the ground. It was about 14 hs before I made it back to sydney and to the hospital with no drugs to ease the pain

It was pretty pain full and having the other arm in plaster was very inconveintent. They take ages to heal and affect your whole upper body, I woke up every 4 hrs as the pain killers wore off.

Basicaly I landed sideways on my head and the rim of my FF helmut snapped it in 2. Very lucky not to break my neck, my right hand got caught inbetween my front brake leaver and hand guard. This turned me sideways and proably the reason I am walking today.

I've been lucky & not broken any bones, I reckon I've felt my femur flex before though - sliding along at about 70k's with a motorbike laying on top of my left leg. Suffered from a lot of joint problems, somethings gotta give I guess.

i reckon, while it may sound pussy, breaking the big toe hurts a fair bit. (i actually had a fracture inside the knuckle (i think that's the right word?) of my big toe. this was about 3+ months ago and it is still stiff/swollen and if it gets the slightest bump it hurts like hell) besides that, not being able to walk it a downer as well.

oh, and now my toenail is in the process of falling off.

Worst I did was a compund fracture of the radisu and ulna. It hurt, but it put me in fairly deep shock, so it was more the intensity of the physical/emotional reaction to seeing your bones on the outside more than outright pain i remember.

The worst cramps I've had are quad cramps while scuba diving. That sucks the big one.

Over the years I've broken/damaged my,

Nose, playing a game with laser guns and got smashed in the face going around a corner.

Back, not broken but fractured and twisted. Fell 20ft onto broken concrete and gravel when I was 11.

Bike related,
Collar bone and shoulder.

Ankle and tore ligaments as well

Ribs and punctured lung.

Little finger on left hand.

All of them fucking hurt but the ribs and back were the worst. Every time I breathed or moved I was in pain, Oxycontin is great stuff so long as you dont get hooked on it.:D Strange how old injuries hurt years after the event.

I've broken my right foot, I was just walking along and stepped in a hole and thought I had twisted my ankle, WRONG I could see a bone almost coming out the side of my foot, and then it swelled up. I never went to the doctor, (to far away, I used to live in the sticks) it still hurts every now and then and if I roll it side ways you can hear bone crunching . I have also fractured my right elbow when I was in year 3, some kid snapped a 5cm (it was bigger than my arm) thick branch across it. I have had many more stitches though (all on a bike). The worst cramp I have experienced was while snorkeling in a strong current around a ship wreck. I was 10m down and just starting to resurface when my entire right leg (always the right??) just cramped it was intense, the pucker factor was high then, I made it to the surface and started to stretch it out and ended up being swept away from the ship and my group, I had to stretch the cramp, then swim, then stretch etc until I made it back to the ship.

Amen to that. I core sampled myself on a stump and cracked my ribs. To top it off whilst waiting for a lift to casualty a friend saw a bee walking across my chest. She thought I was allergic (I'm not) so she panicked and hit me on the chest with a cleated cycling shoe to kill the bee. I nearly made it into orbit!

I have bruised my ribs on two seperate occasions and cracked two before. The only way I could sleep after cracking them was to hug a pillow at night. One that really really hurts is cracking th patella (kneecap). Stress fractured my Ulna (forearm) and this injury really didn't hurt too much, I just couldn't put any pressure on my arm. The most painful injury...... breaking my ankle, however when I did that I dislocated most of the bones in my foot, snapped and ruptured ligaments and had little bits of bone fragment floatign around in their.
