05 vs 06 stinky.

hey guys
so im getting a new stinky hopefully in the next few weeks. i want to use it from dirtjumping, freeriding and downhilling. second hand 05 or 06 for 2400 new? i dont think i like the look of the 06. wat do u guys think. what would ride better. wat would an 05 be worth

I too think the 06 stinkys look bad, although i would prefer to get a new fr/dh bike then a second hand 1 that is from an unknown person.

Go the 06, the rear shock is far better - the new set-up in the rear makes it a lot olusher than the previous frames...

If your buying new get an 06, so much nicer but you can get even older stinky's like 04 or 03's for so damn cheap might be worth getting one and upgrading it a bit?

go for 05 madest ride eva with 66's u can do anything and sooo smooth, but i have just seen a 06 stinky with white 66's and thats looks insane and aparently rides really well, so up to u there both nice rides. but if u get stinky get rid of drop offs lol

I am riding an 06 stinky delux (mentioned by Viney). at first i didnt care for the frame but now i love it. If you want it for dirt jumping then straight out trade the forks in for a 66rc fork. Thats my set up and it is sick for dirt, downhill, freeride. Heaps lite. The susspension ramps right up for dirt. Either way you are getting a kona and will be satisfied. Also 06 will have better re-sale value in future because it is a year newer.

I know a lot has been said already on this topic and in the end it comes down to personal preference. I have an 06 Stinky, I put a new set of 888's, put on a MRP and it goes as well if not better than my 02 Stab Primo. Standard it is still good. I like the new design, it looks like a cross between a 05 stinky and the Stab supreme. The fame is bullit proof and everything else can be upgraded when necessary.

im not sure what your talking about the 06 stinky being ugly but id go for the 06 one the spec list is better(much better rear shock)

hey guys,
thanks for your opinions. I ended up getting a 06 norco aline last saturday and im stoked about it! i have had more fun on it then i have had riding my whole life and ive progressed heaps already. i was going 2 get the 06 stinky then had a sit on the deelux and i chose if i was gonna get one i wanted to get one where i wouldnt need to spend thousands later upgrading (forks etc.) after sitting on a deelux and then the aline. and after a long hard think i chose the aline
