The sunday felt smoother in corners but you ended up with less speed once you had left the corner, pedals better then the sunday and handles the rough better too.could just be the shock set up though. Overall im really happy with it, 18.6 kilo's with room to spare another kilo or so

Sweet ride man!
I was supposed to get mine today (monday) but have to wait untill tomorrow (tuesday) and then I fly out to Buller on Wednesday!
Any set up tips to fast track my set up time, (mine will be relatively stock)? If I may ask why are you considering changing the seat and seatpost?
Cheers ECDH pride!

And im going to change the seat and post because of that I beam set up. other then that its great.

Nice looking bikes.
I'm thinking about getting one, might change the fork out for a 40 and have the wheels re built on black rims.
What's the weight of it?
Let us know how you get on with it.

Just seen this thread.
Mmmm , Mongoose hate to admit it but i think it's the best looking DH bike for 06 . Great specs for it and from reading up on it on the US forums tonight , performs well from all reports and is quite light for a DH bike, and a decent pedaller. .
Am looking at a few quality 2nd hand bikes at the moment but if this is priced well might have to think about it.
I think Mongoose might finally have something here ,they are usually reasonably priced so id'e love to know how much and from were you bought this beast.

Here is one of the independant reviews from downcycles in the US.
Remember they got to test a few 06 DH bikes at the bike show so this is quite impresive for Mongoose.
Enjoy

Reading this review has definately changed my mind about Mongoose.
