hey fella's, been going through a few old threads and it looks like there is a big body boarding following with many members, out there and having fun, just wondering if anyone wanted to hook up and have a "bord" im still relitively new to the sport, ( about 1/2 a year) but go out most weekeneds. just wondering where most poeple go and "optimen" spots for body boarding? i think it would be fun to mix boards and bikes, and create a bigger riding and boarding friendship in farkin.

well the offers out there, if anyone's interested pm me or post in this thread :)

also if this is a really stupid idea and not exactelly for these forums just say,

cheers.

p.s. are there any bodybarding forums?

I dunno so much about forums but have you seen fluidzone.com?

Also my fave beachies are Whaley (specially wedge) curly and avalon. Best reef is winki.

Just go have fun and explore.

And to add to the thread who has been on bodyboarding trips up the coast or to islands or something? I'd love to hear about it.

sth curly for the best beach so nice and sucky and heavy. Winki is the funnest reef ive ever surfed, so if theres a decent south swell on its way winki's the go for me.

i to am a bodyboarder/Downhiller. been doin both for about the same amount of time and love both equally.

i'm going round the world in 07 chasing waves, it should be awesome.

i'm from SA so the likes of knights (its a wedge) or rebounds (reefy) take my fancy when it comes to having a boog. but when knights gets big it gets fkn heavy.

but ive heard good things bout the east coast and oneday will get over there and experience it for myself.

also if the point is breaking at all, you will find about half the northern beaches out there. I personally am a big fan of less crowded beaches i.e. Sth Curly, whaley & Bungan. Body boarding is the bomb!

if you get out early or during winter when its good its not as crowded. Its only at its very best in winter anyway

i went to longy one saturday after a massive swell that week. The kick and the roy were going off the day before but died down so we walked round to longy and it was freekin huge. Big monsters rolling in, bomby type waves then they hit the sandbank and jacked up bigtime. On the right waves its awesome. Mona Vale basin is good at hightide on a big swell for some shories.

completely agree with you, i ahd oen of my best surfs of all time there!

As far as longy goes, most of the time, its a terrible beach. The only time it is any good is when the swell comes through and breaks on the bomby, other than that, it is generally flat. This weekend (saturday) was one of the rare exceptions when it was breaking, it was awesome. Very fun booger sesh.

I usually go to warriewood but if its no good i'll go round to mona vale. Mona vale is usually alot more crowded. I live about half an hours drive from the coast so i don't get out that often, at least once every one or two weeks though.

ScottD

warriewood isnt looking promising for all those who want a report, littles is crap too aswell as mona vale, Lizard rock gets my vote for tomorrow!!

hey just wondering whereabouts on the beach the copa reef is. IS it about 100-200m south of where the falgs usually are. If so, thats one of the best breaks i have ever seen! About 5 - 6 weeks ago, it was breaking perfectly, good times.

Although it isnt digital the GoPro Hero is a sick camera for watershots etc while surfing/bodyboarding. The photo quality isnt the best but its still good,

As for bluebottles, bungan had stacks this morning. There was literally a 3 foot thick line of them all up the beach and there were so many its not funny in the water. I was stung 4 times, once majorly the rest just little ones.
