Lithgow is soon to become the Mtb capital of the known universe (according to the cat)

Have a look here http://www.ctmbc.net/ when it is working

i heard there putting in chair lifts at lithgow dh track.
that would be 10 times beter than those really long bus trips to the top.

Seriously doubt it all you want. the idea is been given serious thought, along with other options. Very early in the dicussions so a good chance nothing will come of it.

www.ctmbc.net should be up again shortly. Apearently I forgot to renew the domain name.... Been a little busy of late.

That would be great, But wouldn't it cost 100-200 thousand dollars to build. Plus manitanence, plus electricity.?

Cheers Chris

I would definatly use it if it had a chairlift.

Yeah.

How would you fund it. Surely you dont get enough revenue at 5 dollars per person, on the weekend.

Ahh ok

Then how will you fund it?

pyley

well it could be funded the same as thredbo, chair tickets on a daily basis, and associated fee's and charges....hehehe....i think you'd see alot of traffic on the weekend, maintenance and insurance would be the obviuos head ache....but it's a nice thought , no fifteen minute smelly bus ride to the top,

yeah...

no need to endure the bus trip lads, me an' me ol'e ridin' bud cutto ride up the drift and then come down the DH. (Apostrophes necessary to truly capture my Lithgow accent)

round trip takes about 40mins-1 hour from Lithgow CBD (oxymoron?)

if you hadn't guessed I aint ridin' one of those new fangled down hill jalopys

We pushed up the track other day in similar time. Some "of those new fangled down hill jalopys", couple of hardtails and even one fella on his old mongoose BMX.
(Philo you missed a great ride - we'll have to go this wk mate.)
A chairlift would be great - get a few more runs in - but there is something strangely satisfying about getting to the top on your own steam, besides you get to check out lines and ruts etc on the way up.
Nuhhh! On second thoughts go the chairlift, more runs = more fun.

Sooo
Are you keeping the track all to yourselves? or will you share the location with the rest of us?

Good tracks are like surf breaks, they are getting harder to find, and the good ones are packed with air heads and wallies.

and the answer is??

I followed the links posted to the CTMBC website, and clicked on 'MAP'.

Fuck that was a challenge

Oh bloody 'ell Squid. That was part of the elimination process. If you weren't smart enough to read the entire thread and follow the information plainly provided you weren't smart enough to ride our tracks.

Now you've gone and blown it.
