i have recently bought a set of these great forks, but cannot decipher the manual. therefore, i turn to you guys asking which compression knob is for which compression setting(high speed, low speed). i have looked through out the manual and there is nothing that says, this is the high speed and this is the low speed ............. marzocchie have a lot left to be desired of in there manuals and customer care efforts.
i have also another issue which is that a while ago i left the forks in the sun for around half an hour to an hour, i came back to find that the bomber sticker's glue had melted and left the sticker looking like shit. The forks were only a few days old. to my knowledge, stickers for replacement dont come cheep and marzocchi wont reply to my e-mails. what do you do? this may seem petty, but when you pay $1500 for quality, you expect quality.
thanks for any imput.
I cant tell you which is which, but just turn one in a few clicks and try to feel the difference, HSC will ramp up at the end, and LSC is felt at the start of the compression stroke, that little test should tell them apart quite quickly.
Speak to Juls on here, he's the local Marzocchi guru...

The one at the bottom of the rebound leg is low-speed, the other is high-speed, I believe.

I suggest you learn to read my firend.
I am absolutly hopeless when it comes to manuals, but the manual does indeed state what is what.
And to state 'marzocchie' (actually spelt marzocchi) dont do this and that, IMO you are completely and utterly wrong, you could at least spell it right to make people take you a bit more serious...

The two red dials on the top are for preload, the black one on the top right is for rebound, the low speed compression is the red dial on the bottom right and the high speed compression (bottom out) is the black dial on the top right. See page 163 of your manual.

If you search in farkin forums for marzocchi you will find an excellent article from GO-RIDE in the US about the use of 888's and how to improve them and
tuning tips..
suprised about your non return of emails from the importer here in oz because they are pretty good on customer service

So far, everybody that has replied to the original post has been spot-on.
They clearly have read the Marzocchi owners manual or have been at their website. The marzocchi owners manual is one of the best i have ever seen by any manufacturer.
As far as me not responding to your email, i beleive i did respond. There is no reason for me not to.

I found the Marzocchi manual to be exceptionally easy to understand. Even adjusting the preload on my 888RC's which is an internal operation was easy, if you are really strong. I needed some help to hold down the top spring perch, while I moved the clip.
And Dave, I sent you an e-mail on 5 feb and still haven't got a reply.
