with $3600 you could get a fucken mad ass race bike!

Intense complete bike, pretty sure you could get it under your buget. not quite sure though... http://www.intensebmx.com/team_bike.htm

/\ pretty damn close to top of the range /\

Haha jacko i think he meant 300 to 600 dollars. Not $3,600

ohh.... then turn up to a big race day and there should be some ok second hand bike forsale in the middle of the track. you could probably pick up a sturdy redline for that.

only junior rider have the 1" or 1 3/8 wheels but medium to older guys run 1.5" or 1.75". thats not too small for a bmx

go and see if you can find a specialized hemi (and depending on what size you need) Pro or the XL (I think its an XL) anyhow i do alot of dirt jumping and it holds up pretty good, ive distoryed a rear wheel, bent a set of chrome alloy forks and busted it's stock headset the frame is still going good. I would highly recommend it. mine is an 04 hemi pro, 2 years old now

Have a look at the Avanti "ABD" racebike range. They all have FSA cranks, reasonably light weight, ACS freewheels, decent rims and tyres etc...As far as I recall most if not all would be under your budget threshold.
Rays have/had an ABD cruiser they got as a preproduction sample which would be cheapish...
I had a ride on most of them and they're pretty good, natural feeling geometry and stiff frame - very quick out of the gate...

Have a look at the Avanti "ABD" racebike range. ...

the ABD's are a good bike for the money.. and they go for around the $550 new so you could deffenatly get one of them .. they are a nice bike as floody posted

also as another alternative you could get the felt sector's although the crank on the sector isnt as good as the ABD but you cant have every thing they are around the same money aswell
