Hard work finally paying off, 2 minute short video of black betty from the Aline, to the Bline, Fedex drop and a new roll for those of no wont to hit it (runout still to be finished)
Apologies for the shaky-ish filming, myself and Alan were without a tripod for the day
and Alan assures the farkin community that he has hit fedex, but was in a girly-squeaky-voice mood today.....
...and it was windy
VIDEO HERE (http://www.savatarclan.net/ollie_smith/betty.mov) 45MB, 2 Minute running time [Right click Save As]

Is that the consumer or prosumer version? either way, i think its one of the most incredible cameras out there for the mooah, im sure you will work some serious genius with it!

it's the HVR A1U with about $1000 worth of upgrades ... batteries are'nt cheap..
80US dollars and i got 4 of em
.. the lens on there is a .7 sony wide angle.. and i got a fisheye also..
a sexy light.. and a custom made hood for that wide angle also.. which was'nt cheap.
i bought the camera for $2500.. then there's a $500 mail in rebate..
the spider brace it's sitting on is just fucken awsome instead of regular hand held.. it's rock solid on your shoulder.. and with that Varizoom attached at the bottom make's recording/zooming/focus all a breeze.. the price was'nt so breezy though .. they retail for $189US when i opened the package i was like.. IS THAT IT??????? this little bit of plastic? FUUUUUCK
but it does it's job.. real well.
my computer's gunna break my bank account.. since i'm spending a well over the $2000 mark.. i need a good system to push the HDV footage, it won't even play on my old 2.53 pentium, and my next computer will be running the X2 4800+ dual core chip (most probly) with all the gear.
such an expensive hobby man, i'm so broke.
sony launching it's next Camera shortly, the HC3 .. you should wait for that.. it's got really good slow motion feature for sports shots... and it's super small
and packed with features
