The Story My friend had his bike stolen from St Lucia this weekend, he basically woke up to go for an early morning ride to find his pride and joy stolen. People in brisbane PLEASE keep an eye out for this bike, although the descriptions are rather vague, there aren't a lot of Trek1000's with a set of bontrager select wheels (refer to photos).
Bike: 2004 Trek1000 Size 55/56/57cm (unsure but its suited for someone around 5''8)
Colour: Brushed Aluminum
Date it was stolen: March 11th - 13th
Where it was stolen: Queensland, St Lucia, Sisley Street
Specs:
-Drivetrain: Full Sora
-Cranks: Bontrager Sport
-Wheelset: Bontrager Select (off 2005 trek1500)
-Other: Wireless Computer
Other Discriptions: The bike was in really really good condition cept from a minor scratch on the right fork arm, also had heavy scratches on the right clip in pedal (which are black)
It had two water bottles on it, one of them was used to hold tyre levers, spare tube and other parts.
Pictures: No pictures but the frame looks like this http://www.trekbikes.com/images/bikes/2004/road/medium/10002.jpg and the wheelset come from this bike http://www.trekbikes.com/bikes/2005/road/1500.jsp#
Who to contact Please contact me Ben Peach on (07)3878 8547 or 0423 153 446 or call Shah Talif (owner of the bike) on 0410 153 510 or (07)3720 8641
Chances are, whoever stole this bike won't be someone in full roadie gear but rather some cheap bastard (as we all know). Please keep an eye out not only on our streets but at places like cash converters if you so happen to be walking past one.
Thanks very much guys and girls
