I had a search around and couldn't find any specific answers (feel free to point to a link if I've missed one)...

I have a 05 V10 and I'm fitting a set of Race Face Diabolus Cranks, using an E13 guide with the BB mounted style. Now doing as per the instructions you are provided with I can't seem to get it to work. Too much spindle on the drive side etc.

I'm not too bad with this stuff usually, relitively mechanically minded, however this has got me stumped.

I was told to get the 83mm BB to use with the 05 V10 so thats what I have.

If you've done this set up can you let me know what spacers you've got where-

- how many between the frame and the bb cup on both drive and non-drive side
- how many white spaces on the spindle on boths sides...

any help appreciated.

i got this from the SC website...

What size bottom bracket should I use on my V10?
The V10 (all model years) uses a widely spaced rear end to increase rear wheel strength. This requires a wider bottom bracket to line up properly with the cassette. The chainline requirement (the measurement from the center of the BB shell to the middle chainring) is 55-57mm. Most ISIS cranks should use a 128mm BB with a 73mm shell. If you have any doubts, ask the specific crank manufacturer what BB to use to get a 55mm chainline.

that could explain you BB being to long...?

Yeah cool I'll measure that and see what the chain line comes out to at the moment. I've played with it for a while now and seem to have it kinda ok. Thing is that I have 2 spacers on the non drive and 2 on the drive side as well, had to do this so that when the crank arm on the drive side was put on, it actualy hit up against something, rather than having a gap between the crank and the actual bearing. Make sense? I'll check with my LBS tomoz anyway.

Josh from SC in the states was the one who said to get the 83mm for use with the E13 and 73mm shell size to get the 56mm chain line??

will stick a few pics up tomoz to show the problem...
