Ever come accorss this?

I went out for a ride on Sunday afternoon to have a play around and to kill some time.
I was jumping off everything possible when I came accross a set of mean looking set of steps, so me being me said "its time to fly",
apon landing I pinched the front tube "bugger!". This afternoon when I was replacing the front tube I found a rattle inside the front rim? "Blast" I thourght it was a busted spoke and the eyelet was loose inside the rim, nothing new there... after checking all the spokes and finding none of them where broken. Now I'm confused...
after a closer inspection I found an extra eyelet loose inside the rim...

This is the 1st flat I've had on this bike as I've only had the bike for about 8 weeks...

Has anyone had this before?

Have you checked to see it is not one half of an eyelet? It may be the inner (ie - facing the tube) part of one of your eyelets - from memory, they can have two halves that are snadwiched together around the actual spoke hole...

just a thought - could just be a production line defect too...

All 36 eyelet are there and counted for...

Spoke to the bike shop and they said they would fix it,

Most likely a production line defect when it was made...
