It's a good idea, but it would have to be common places that people like riding at. You can't put up secret spots, unless they are your own. You will always will have those that will post up spots they found, spoiling it for those who made it.

Yeah the main objection to that is that a lot of riding locations are kept quiet for specific reasons. Dirtjumps in particular are kept secret because they're a) often not technically legal, b) prone to getting demolished when too many people find out about them, and so forth (and other trails suffer from these symptoms too). Having a section like that would require very heavy moderation, and then with that comes the are-we-endorsing-legal-trails issues etc.

For what it's worth, Farkin did actually have a trails database ages ago, but it got removed because nobody used it anyway.
