(Taken from CORC website).

------------------------------------------------------------------------

A number of cars were broken into while parked at the Sparrow Hill and Kowen forest carparks on the afternoon of Sunday 28 May, while the owners were out on the mountain bike trails. In all instances valuables were taken from the vehicles (CD’s, clothing, $$), including a substantial amount of money in one case. Entry to the cars was gained by smashing the windows.

People are encouraged not to leave any valuables in their cars when parking at any of the MTB trail carparks. If this is unavoidable, then ensure your items are not visible. If you see any supicious behaviour in the carparking areas (eg people without bikes driving away quickly as you approach), note the numberplates of any vehicles used by the suspects and pass it onto the police.

Totally unrelated to bikes I was forced to give up rock fishing after my tools of trade were flogged out of my car in the carpark,4 times:mad:
thats enough time to do something else. These people are scum, one of my mates had an old holden with no radio or an valuables at the fising spot, left unlocked so instead of pinching stuff they trashed the car- smashed windows and keyed the paint.Just lowlife scum who deserve no consideration.
cheers jon

So you've dug up an old thread where someone has given helpful information, and made fun of them for their trouble.

Good one.

I hope you wake up to find your car stolen. :)
