I need a new saddle for my cross country bike.
but dont want to fork out heaps of money to get something thats very uncomfortable.
Im looking for something light with a v in the middle because normal saddles give me numb nuts (got to protect the boys)
something around 200g

The hardest question to answer in cycling. Everyone has a different arse.
Besides, you want an anatomically-designed, comfortable, 200g saddle that is good value? Good luck. If someone comes up with a good answer for you, I'll probably buy one myself.

every body's different. so as its been said in every "what seat post?" what suits me may not be good for you. i use the ravx gel carbon. its cheap and about as comfy as you get for about $100 i think. maybe you should state what you want to spend as people will end up recomending $300 seats otherwise. you could also do a search as there are definatly other posts on here about seats for xc

its pretty hard to test drive saddles at the bike shop
I would like to know peoples opinions of saddles they have tried and used

I know, but I think my summary of what you're asking for was pretty accurate and relates strongly to everything that's already been discussed in many other threads that you could have searched for in under a minute...

Like I said before - good luck.
WTB Rocket V here too, on my dually. On my hardtail/commuter, I have an older style SDG Bel Air (the one without the vee recess). Both are very comfortable and the WTB is very light too (Ti rails)
The new style SDG Bel Airs seem to be very popular - seems like a good bet I'd say. They're specced OE on a lot of bikes so you might be able to have a quick spin on one at a shop.
