If you make the URL for your Farkin weblink "http://forums.farkin.net/search.php?do=getnew" then whenever you click on that bookmark you will run a search for new posts automatically, no need to open Farkin then click "New posts". If you like to open Farkin from time to time during the day to see if anything interesting is going on, this little tip can save you a few clicks. Works for other PHP based boards as well.

The problem with automatically opening "New posts" whenever you log on, is if you get called away from the computer, or have to log off for whatever reason, you will lose all those unread posts if you did not get time to scan through them.
I just open farkin manually now, as several times I lost track of unread posts, which I hate.
