what do you fellaz recon would be a better way to got for pure freride and hucking.
i am not sure which bike would be better for me, out of the banshee scream or the santacruz vp-free.

i am not exactly a giant at about 5foot 10.

Banshee Scream, proven time and time again to be the hucker of all huckers.

i dunno about the scream... tyler klassen uses the vp free and he hucks everything... either bike would do fine though

AMB did a test on freeride bikes in the june/july issue. the results out of 10:

VP Free- 9
Scream- 7

the VP frees are much more expensive though.

I can't say anything about the Banshee, never ridden one but I own a VP Free and love it....Have seen what Tyler Klassen does on one so I guess they can handle anything, So I know it will hold up to my lvl of ability :)

for ture out right hucking it would have to be the scream, heavey but strong. the vp is still a good hucker but its lighter and a bit easyer to pedal i think. both are grate bikes for what ur looking for, hope that helps

My god so many shit responses. There are big differences between the bikes. The Banshee is a pure hucking and freeride bike, they're great really fleible in terms of use, 6-8" travel, can go from big mountain to slopestyles/NS beast with ease. However their dropping in price and their now former distibutors DirtWorks are now selling them at a loss, I can't understand why people havn't been buying them I wouldn't mind one either.

To buy the Santa Cruz for hucking is an insult to such a sweet bike, its deisgned for something that involves more skill than big hucks, its a waste of such a good frame. SO if you want a Banshee their around $1200 to $1500 for the frame in some places and the Santa Cruz your looking at $7000 at least for a complete bike.

In have to agree with the Supet T's best call.
