need new bars on my downhill bike, been using 2" protapers for a while now
but looking at getting a lower height bar, or trying to run my stem
upside down to lower the 2" protapers abit
what height is a nice height bar to go for ?

I have been looking at the Easton EA70 monkey bars
which come in a low, mid and high rise,
bends and sweep and weight seem to be the same as Protapers,
main reason why i am looking towards the Eastons, but the rise
has me stumped on the Eastons.
BTW i'm running 8" boxxers on a 224 frame.

Low rise - 1inch
Mid rise - 1.5inch
high rise - 2inch

lower the better...

what stem are you running?

you'd probably be fine keeping your stem the rght way up and using an eastern lowrise bar...

lower the better...
For sure. Unless you ride a lot of really steep sketchey trails.

224 is pretty low in the front anyway. Easton's feel good though, have a nice width and sweep to them.

Get a 1" bar, if they feel a little bit too low, you can always space up your stem a 1/2".
