Out of the Kona Stinky, the Scott Nitrous 20 and the Noco Shore 2, what would be the best bike for freeride.

id say the stinky, i much prefer the intergrated soft tail instead oif the floating seat design of the norco, also the kona has better reviews....
also i dont realy like scott softtails (but thats just me)

all in all have a look at this site.....

all you need to know

Idiot, put more effort into your posts, like what you will be wanting to do with the bike eg. drops, jumps, downhill, how big you are, want to pedal up hills etc. and dont keep making threads that are the same in different forums and try and keep it all into one thread and do a search

nah id go the stinky

most norcos duallies have ridiculous looking geometry (personal thoughts), and stinky is reliable. + they can still go up the hill as well.

to all norco riders out there i didn't mean any offence

After riding a mates stab and stinky im going to have to disagree with you. Stabs and stinkys have bad pedal effeciency compared to my rig. And they don't feel to crash hot either.

Depends on what kind of freeriding, if its fairly light i would go with the scott. Not everyone has one, the spec is fairly solid and they look awesome. Bet they don't weigh as much as the norco and kona tanks.

I know what you mean, i picked up the Norco Shore 3 in the store the other night, weighs a heap, and a fair whack of it on the front of the bike too.

Triples dont help of course :)

Scott hand's down, i mean, common, 190mm front travel oh a single crown. COMMON!!!!! that and the bike has a dual telescopic seatpost, meaning you can put it all the way up for those xc and uphill's.

hey, does ANYONE in the world like huffys?
No, why?
because they are shit!
norcos are the huffys of Canada!:p

which means that they arent too bad, but still.....huffy.....

dont get a norco.....heres a simple equasion to help you remember this,

norco+big drop=bike mechanic bill:p

just kidding, seriously theres nothing wrong with norcos, but i would still rather have a kona, the scott is cool...but id rather a scott hardtail, eg. the yz0 limited *drool*

any way bottom line, go the kona

p.s. soz about the rambling

Sam Adamas

no offence to norco owners

p.s. soz about the rambling
ill say :p

anyway, dont just settle for norco, kona or scott - there is also the specialised bighit range, along with others such as the giant faiths, ironhorse yakuzas/7points, etc.

i take back what i said about the nitrous, a guy came in with one today that had a crumple in the top tube and a bend in the down tube from hitting a tree, but scott has excelant warranties he will get a new one.

Stop being brand whores. Ooohhh I like kona, i like norcos, buy the norco.

That's not going to be any help to him. I have a norco but I didn't say buy the norco, because its a norco, norcos are the greatest norco because its a norco that norco's.

This has to be one of the worst threads I've read on here in a while.
Not only is it a terrible opening question, the replies have been just as bad.
If you want to ask something, be as detailed as possible to help everyone give you the best answer they can. If you're going to reply, make your answer thoughtful and useful. Misinformation and baseless opinions get you nowhere, if your contribution isn't worthy then don't bother wasting our time.
