hi

i didnt know where to post this or anything , but my account was locked becasue someone was trying to log into my account ,, its be happening abit lately so if someone does log in and go around swearing i will get banned .. im just wondering is there anyway i can stop this person from trying to get into my account and if they do get it and im banned can i talk to a mod out of pm system to try and get my account working agian???

i did a search and couldnt get anything out of it ,
and i didnt know who to pm about this issue , so i just posted this thread!!

Just change your password in your User CP.

[Binaural]

1. Untick the "remember me" box when you log in. It's a hassle, but means that anyone wanting to use your account has to log in first. Naturally, don't pick an easy password. When you log in like this your session will last half an hour or so before you have to log in again.
2. Alternatively, keep the "remember me" box ticked but clear your cookies when you are done. That way you will still have to log in at the start of a session, but nobody will be able to start up your PC and imitate you.

the things is i only log in on my computer ,, never at school , im the only one that uses my computer and none of my friends use farkin. So whoever is trying to log in is a complete random!

OK, have you ever logged in from an internet cafe or a friend's computer, or worse still an airport? Odds are you did, and ticked "remember me" when you did. That computer still remembers you, and whenever someone tries to access Farkin they see your login and can use it if they want. Change your password, and your problem should be solved.

i have never , ever logged in beside from MY computer,, he hasnt actually guessed my password yet ,, but someone keeps trying to get so i keep getting emails from farkin saying my account is locked for 15mins!

Time to contact an admin or moderator like Techno Destructo. They will probably IP ban whoever is trying this on, which means that the person won't even be able to access Farkin.net and will no longer be able to amuse themselves by annoying you.

There's no way (that I know of) to tell who's trying to log in AS you. I can only suggest that someone you know is trying to stir the pot a little and go through the 5 login attempts just to lock you out.
