take out old pads! clean rotor with a good cleaner that does not leave any residue (meths, iso.prop.alchohol etc etc) fit new pads go ride.

if the brakes are hydros keep fu**ed pads for holding the pistons back when bleeding the brakes.

you could try cleaning the pads by various ways that i am sure other forum users will recomend! but in my experiance the results are no where as good as new pads.

boil the fark outta your pads. but beware the glue doesn't dilodge the backing plate from the brake mat'l! Or try riding along with ya mums talcum powder, squirt a heap around your caliper then gently apply the brakes again and again. Your neighbours will think you are some sort of freak, but you prob are anyway (you are a mtber  )

 Seriously, can't you think of anything better to do with it?

Avoid boiling/baking too, it's really not a sound procedure.
