A section dedicated to weight with sections like tripple clamp forks, handlebars etc. Could attract alot of members. My suggestions would be sections, dimensions if modified(steerer tube length, bar width,post....). If they were weighed by the poster or if it's a manufacturers claim.
Just a thought.
Refinement.

Tell me if i'm missing something, but wouldn't a link to weight weenies do much the same thing?

it's gotta be something in fiki though, or where they can read buy can't post, otherwise it's gonna get really messy.

Weight weenies is crap and has hardly anything DH,it's really hard to compare weights of stuff on there, and everyone weighs stuff differently. I find it next to useless and yeah it's there to use also.I'm just going to keep weighing stuff and adding it to the thread I started,if others want to join in they can,it will be a record for me to use myself if nothing else.
Sygot,go for an I-beam seat post combo, lighter than any carbon set up I'd say.

I think Wattsys' idea is good; Have a Fiki section on it, then, a handfull of members can be chosen to add stuff to the section? Although it will be a bit of a pain in the arse as no one really wants to be finding true weights of a part and putting it on the fiki? Do they?

Pritty good idea, but how it will be accomplished without just turning into a thread with some people going and finding the true weights and others just putting up claimed weights/bullshit will be the challenge.

I'm a bit of a closet weightweenie, and have kept a notepad document listing everything i've ever weighed over the years. More of a personal reference really, although i'm happy to post it up if there is interest. Contains lots of stuff like maxxis DH tyres, shimano brakes, wheels, hubs, bashguards, etc.

I think a page on the fiki would probably be the easiest though, there's just a couple too many forums on here already IMO.

i think it sounds like a bloody good idea. ive tried to use weightweenies a bit, and it never has anything that you're really looking for.
dont care how anyone does it (fiki section, etc) but i think it would be really helpful.
