just an observation....
quite recently, the trail building forum (which has been a very welcome addition to farkin) has become a whinge section for kids whose jumps get knocked down...
apart from locking the threads, maybe people should be made aware that its for info and advice about BUILDING trails, not a sympathy thread?

I was just bout to say this. The first 3 active thread's are of people whining. It's quite annoying because it is purely designed for Tip's from someone on trail building, not to post up crap. Week ban's should be put on people who open thread's about "howz der jupz gotz noked d0wz". It's fine in all the other thread's cause noone give's a shit but people wanna learn in that thread, not listening to whining.
Thanks for pointing that out, guys. I don't often visit that forum but I will from now on. Cheers.

just a note, for concideration of sensitive trails in your area, esecially in areas that have had recent rain, it's not hard to tell which areas get affected, if they're soft and slushy, its better to take alternative trails rather than ride these sections. Wait till these areas dry out before using them. This will protect trails for future use, its one way to look after the local trail and keep them in good condition.
