The knee and shin combo are known to crack too easily. There was a thread in the last 2 months that went over this in a fair bit of detail, do a search and see if you can turn up some more info.

Not exactly sure about the T-Bones, but TLD have always had bad reviews in previous knee/shin pads..
Ever considered 661 Kyle Straights. They looks damn fine. I've ordered mine in - and should be getting them next week(ish).
Just a thought..

T bones are the best pads out...
similar to the kyle straits... probably more expensive as well... retail is 110... not sure about the 661s

I'm with Ridesik, farking good pads.
I have been using them since march and haven't loked back. I too cracked my Combat guards and got these as replacements. Not cheap but work bloody well.
I don't even realise i'm wearing them anymore.
Also, they look the shit and they cover a suprising amount of leg for a kneepad.
I got some, i haven't looked back - i doubt you will either.

Yer they are good pads, and as said before, they cover alot of skin for knee guards and they are very confortable. Also, they have a little bit more padding than the Kyle Strait 661's. I never ride without them now.

I've got them and I love them. They are mega comfortable, although at the last race they did rub through my skin on the back of my leg. They protect well don't tend to slide down like knee-shin combos. The main hassle with them is you have to take your shoes off to put them on. They are probably better with clips, because with flats there is a chance of shin scrapage.
FTR has them for $95.
