recently i have discovered some of my wood going missing, and now parts of my north shore, now, i have a reasonable idea of who it may be, but, what to do from there, they seem to be eager enthusiasts of the sport, and borrowing it to build there own track, so i dont want to put them off, but if i catch them out should i;

1) non agressively take it back
2) smack heads together and take it back
3) leave it with them and ask not to do it again
4) sit in a corner and cry

any help?

Make sure they know you're pissed, and let them know that stealing someone else's materials is extremely shitty. Since they are clearly building nearby there's no point into turning it into a war, but leave them in no doubt there will be repercussions if they continue stealing your stuff. It may well be worth telling them where you get your materials and telling them to get their own stuff from there.

perhaps tell them that you know where that wood is from, and ask them that perhaps they could come and help you build with it. instead of taking it for their own purpose.

either that or you sneak around and steal it back....or get a big dog!

Or you could always demand use of whatever they build, that if is they build something half-decent and worth using.

I have recently come across this same problem, and im not happy because one of the things they took was a support beam for a northshore thing which of course caused the whole thing to fall down when a certain amount of weight was applied eg. me and my bike...
So I ended up bargaining with them and allowing them to use my track as long as respect was shown:p and their track is pretty sick to now were all happy
