Just a thought, and I don't know how practical it would be to create with the multitude of categories out there. However I personally find reviews from other people useful when I'm thinking about buying something. I know you have the "partns 'n' stuff" section already, but that is more geared towards advice, not reviewing what people think of things they have used.
Thanks!
Have a little look in the Article / Feature Discussion (http://forums.farkin.net/forumdisplay.php?f=23) forum. Heaps of stuff in there.

www.mtbr.com (http://www.mtbr.com) is exactly that (the R in MTBR stands for "review"). However, as with all unsolicited opinions on bike parts, the main problem is that you rarely hear an unbiased opinion. If people were just able to upload their reviews about stuff, you'd get hundreds/thousands of people who have just bought a part (because they'd decided they liked it obviously) jumping on board and talking it up like you wouldn't believe. And equally annoying, you get people who claim components are crap/weak without any real justification (often because they broke it in a crash). In my sole opinion, it is far easier to ask specific questions about specific products, because you get specific answers!

Specifics! Bloody hell, Steve... try to keep in mind this IS the internet. Specifics..... pfffft!
Yeah you're right. Who wants useful information anyway! :)

Yeah I do go to mtbr but i thought maybe the discussion of other bike sites was vorboten :) I dunno, I just sometimes take comfort in hearing what others have to say... sometimes you do see stuff that ppl all seem to like/dislike. But yes it is very hard to get an unbiased opinion, especially when you get dealers simply advertising their merhcandise under the guise of being a regular rider.
