After going to long gully yesterday the place is looking fantastic. The new track is great fun fast with some new sections which have made the course alot better.

the tracks have everything from crazy road gaps to tight technical sections and rock gardens.
The place has a great set up for races with great spectating places.

Best tucker in the buissness for lunch!!!

This place is great for victorian downhilling with alot of ride days coming up and working bees i cant wait for the racing and more rides.

It would be fantastic if more places around victoria were like this.

big thank you to everyone that has helped out and got this place where it is today.

if anyone else has comments please make them i want to see what other people think.

Yeh the day was awsome, learnt some trail building skills, got in plenty of runs and was fed well (always important). The new track is looking good just needs some berms on the hairpins, the new road gap has a crazy landing. Well done fatties.

The track is a super fun one to ride with a little bit of everything thats required in a good track. To the guys that built the tracks, we know who you are, I like the fact you have included and built some nice jumps and gaps that need a certain level of commitment to clean. I've only ridden there the last two track days so commitment on mud can be a little interesting, am looking forward to a nice tacky day on the lower half of both tracks.

To top all the fun off is a really friendly bunch of people who care about what the rest of us get to ride. To be handed a cold can of coke and a sausage after a sweet ride is pricless and it's all provided for a measly fee. Top effort to all involved.

Long Gully...does it get any better?................... bring back summer.

Is Long Gully free to ride whenever or is it usually only on ride days/comps due to land management issues and private land?

Private land, ride days only.

Once daylight savings starts they run rides every Thursday night.

Who wants pics, I took a few, it was too bad I couldn't help out with building and that I couldn't ride (Yes it was a fun, long night) but I still came out for about an hour and took some happy snaps.

The amount of old or future tracks there is amazing, just walking down the track I spotted at least 5 possible tracks, saw Ash flip off a drop, scouted the potential tracks, tookeee some photo's, hopped in a tree took some more photo's, saw a guy slide out twice heading in to the last step-down (sketchy run in) and went home, then went to Pirates Of The Carribean.

By the way, what bike were you riding Rickazz.

Juan was running the school of step-down, ahahahaha.

Can't wait for the Thursday night rides, I will also be taking photo's and video there, oh and riding (badly).

Post here if you want me to me post up some (bad) pictures.

Tell me you got some pics of that, after that effort he did redeem himself and do the road gap a few times though.

If Ash practise's some more on the freeride track he will hahahaha, are you serious it wasn't on purpose Sam (it was over the bars hahaha), didn't see you there Aaron, meh.

Didn't get pics of the slide out (was in tree), didn't see him do the road gap either, road gap is a damn good effort.

Pics coming in Phat Snaps.

Yeh that would have been me sliding out, i only had a 2.3 rear tyre on so it was dam hard to find any grip there. Rikazz was on the very colourful giant atx (red and yellow). Please do post the pics.
