hey this thread is to find out how heavy certain bikes are so if anyone could post a small reply stating the model and brief description of the componentry of their bike and its weight.
weight: 21kg
2004 demo 9 DH with 888, holzfeller ,729 rims and sun ringle hubs

Well, it's not really a downhill bike but it still fits in the weight bracket :p .
2006 Norco Sasquatch, Amobea Scud Chainguide (do not buy!) New cranks and a few other things.
17.5 kg.
I think I should look at some weight saving components, it's about 35% of my weight! And it's a hardtail!

weighs about 1.2t. haha. i guess about 30kgs. a real tank.

Yeah mate but look at vicious fishes's set up with its boxxers, saint bla bla, and its 20Kgs. It just doesn't add up thats all.

Balfa BB7, 888R, MTX/Hope/Dice wheels, 2.5/2.35 minions, hussefelt cranks :o, hope m4s and representing the weight weenie section are a king headset and thomson post.
oh haha yeah and a weight :o 20.5kg could stand to lose some weight crankwise (XT's one day) and a nice roadie saddle.

i do. im only running 2.3" Minion on the rear and a 2.3" conti on the front. theres a major difference already.
XTR.mrp.mavic 721 rear wheel,protapers,6pots.

i haven't actually properly weighted the biatch yet but:p
i will, my heavy part is my steel spring & 2.7 dual ply tyres with 36h 729's and what not.
soon to go tubeless & a TI spring & a sdg I-fly & dmr mag. v12's.
i'll weight it officially once it's done for you;)

You have to actually weigh your bike to get the weight. This isn't pink bike. Your ego or your arms arn't good scales.
The norco sits just on 42lbs with the world cups and stans.

With Comp 16 2.2 front and Bling Bling rear - 17.8kg
With Minion DHF 2.7 F and 2.5 R - 18.8 kg

Weight: 16kg neat.
Bike 2: Specialized 04 BigHit SPEC - DNM triples/vanilla/Specialized 2.3 rollers/stout - singletrack wheels/truvativ other stuff
Weight: 18kg on the dot
Bike 3: Specialized 06 BigHit/06 Race Boxxer -E13 mount/MTX-TN wheels/Minion 2.5 and 2.7 tyres/DHX-5/Truvativ other gear
Weight: pinch under 20kg
02 DH team, 03 boxxer team, mavic 521 with hope bigun front ringle rear, michelin wild gripper front high roller rear with 2.7 tubes in both. all up 19Kg

my new bike has arrived and it weighs in at roughly 18.2kg :D
