why has STP been barred from searches?

Hey, that is weird, but I don't think it's sinister. Try searching for other words of three characters or less and you will get no results. I think the admins must have put a lower limit on the number of characters required for a search, the same way that google won't search for "of", "no" etc.

yeah, must be a character limit, cos i've searched for it before

Get an admin to add it to the search words white list. This should let it be searched as it is prob under the character limit for the search.

It has never worked for me? I had to find STP threads the natural way... it wasn't that hard.

Type in STP* - the asterisk will find anything containing the characters STP in order so that will fix it the problem.
