I wanna buy a race bmx for 4x training, but haven't really got a clue. I'll spent up to 1g. i'm looking for value for money here, not street cred. If its the stp of the race scene, i'm in.
Suggestions?

thanks guys,
i already emailed the guy about the GT (saw it on the bmx forums) and the felt was on top of my new list.
They both seem pretty good.
My bet would be on the

If bmx racing is just a sideline to you, or you only need the bike for training, then the best value would be to buy secondhand.
There are usually a few reasonable bikes for sale at bmx open race meetings, so just look up the bmx race calendar and go check it out.
The most common race bike is probably Redline - the Redline Flight series are ready made quality race bikes at a great price when you compare them to the cost of the 'boutique' brands/parts.
GT Ultrabox is also a great race bike, and DK MP3's and Norco Speed Metals can also be picked up for reasonable prices.

definitely the felt or the DK and possibly the GT will be the bike to have. If 20'' wheels are a bit too much, as they were for me when starting bmx, 24'' is alot quicker, easier to ride, easier to learn, and alot more fun for someone not used to little wheeled bicycles.
