Does that mean most bmxers go way over the recommended PSI level?
I run a snafu rimjob on the back and It says to go to 60 PSI.

Street, and to an extent park involves smacking your wheels relatively hard into pointy stuff made of metal and concrete... high PSI, less flats. I would've thought that was pretty obvious.

hmm I may be the odd one out but I usually ride my bmx at about 50-55 psi. Do you guys think this may disadvantage me in some sort of way? Should I try running them higher?

I swear by them. If your trails have no flat turns and you pick your lines right you will be fine.
